“Friends” of the Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum

In early November, philanthropist Raya Straus Bendror, president and co-owner of Strauss Investment Company hosted two special evenings for The Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum at the Kimberly Hotel in New York. Another evening was hosted in partnership with the Northern New Jersey Jewish Federation at the home of Angelica Berrie, a close friend of Ms. Strauss Bendror.

Friends of the Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum: Update for 2015

The past year saw much activity among the Friends of the Ghetto Fighters’ House Museum around the world and in Israel. The generous support of our Friends organizations makes the many educational activities possible.

The GFH Department of Continuing Education: Summary of Courses for the 2014/15 (5775) academic year

The current academic year’s program of Continuing Education courses at the Ghetto Fighters’ House opened in November 2014 with 10 courses and over 350 participants. This year all courses were held in collaboration with the Ministry of Education’s Pisgah Center for Instructional Development in Akko.

What's New at Yad LaYeled

Over the past few months there have been a number of special events at Yad Layeled, including a visit by children with CP from the Tefen High School, members of the Inner Wheel and Rotary Clubs, and an 80th birthday celebration for Yisral Wiesel , who was a resident of the Blankenese Children’s Home, and the 90th birthday of Reuma Weizman, who ran the home after the war. As well, the upgrading of the audio-visual equiptment and the addition of new testimonies is finally been completed.

In honor of spring: A delegation from the Jewish Nation Fund visits the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum

Last week top officials from the Jewish National Fund (JNF) visited the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum through the "Go North" program. This joint program was developed by JNF-USA and Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael, in cooperation with the government of Israel, local municipalties, Raya Strauss Ben - Dror, who is promoting the Western Galiliee Region, the Raut Center, Nefesh B'Nefesh, Or Movement, The Rashi Foundation, the Russel Berrie Foundation and a number of other NGO's.
