Library

The GFH Library was established to collect and conserve all published materials dealing with the Holocaust and Jewish resistance in the Second World War.  The library holds some 50,000 titles in Hebrew, English, and other languages, and includes numerous special collections.

The catalog of the library’s holdings is computerized, and the library is equipped with computer workstations where patrons can perform searches.

Special collections

Special collections in the GFH library include memorial books of Jewish communities; published testimonies and memoirs; research studies; photograph albums; literary and reference works; volumes on antisemitism and Nazi thought; Yiddish literature; educational programs; and a film collection on videocassettes. Video viewing is available in the library.

Assistance to students and teachers

The library staff, along with other GFH departments, provides assistance to students and teachers. (Schedule in advance.)
