Commemorating the International Holocaust Remembrance Day: Seminar on Resistance at the Ghetto Fighters' House

The Ghetto Fighters' House hosted a seminar entitled "The Young Leading the Way – Then and Now", in the presence of diplomats, historians, members of the Dror Youth Movement and the general public. The seminar explored the concept of resistance and protest both during the Holocaust and in Israel after the war.

Operation Attic Continues

The Ghetto Fighters' House Archives continue to collect archival material: artifacts, photographs and documents (letters, diaries, memoires, personal certificates, etc.) from the pre-Holocaust period (Jewish life and culture, Zionist youth movements, etc.), the Holocaust period and from the first years after the Holocaust ("Sh'erit ha-Pletah" - Jewish displaced persons).

Researcher from Brazil comes to the Ghetto Fighters' House to observe the Drama and Theatre program at Yad Layeled

Leslie Marko, Director of Theatre Education at the Laboratory for the Study of Ethnicity, Racism and Discrimination (LEER and virtual archive ARQSHOAH) of the University of Sáo Paulo in Brazil, recently visited the Ghetto Fighters' House in order to learn about the drama and theatre program at the Yad Layeled Children's Museum.

Israel Friends Conference 2011

This year the annual conference of the Israel Friends of the Ghetto Fighters' House took place on Friday, December 23rd, the third candle of Hanuka. The conference included a report of the museum's activites and future plans, as well as a lecture by Dr. Moshe Shner, a tour of the Kupferman House, as well as exhibtions throughout the museum.

Jewish educators from the Commonwealth of Independent States learn about the Holocaust at the Ghetto Fighters’ House

A delegation of Jewish educators took part in an annual seminar in early December. The 30 participants, who came from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Lithuania and Latvia, are educators in both formal and informal education.

Letters to Lienke – Nili Goren meets with a delegation of German educators

Educators from Germany recently visited the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum and met with Holocaust survivor Nili Goren, who told them about the special letters sent to her by her father while in hiding.
