Parting Words to the Outgoing Chairman of the Board, Ophir Pines Paz

At the annual reception for the Friends of the GFH, which is held on the same night of the Holocaust Memorial Ceremony, Dr. Anat Livne, CEO of the Ghetto Fighters' House Museum, said a few parting words to the outgoing Chair of the Israeli Friends of the GFH, Ophir Paz-Pines:

We say good-bye to Ophir Paz-Pines, who has voluntarily served as the Chair of the GFH Board of Directors for over three years.
Ophir has a deep personal connection to the Holocaust as a son of survivors from Holland, as well as an interest in the subject. His willingness to donate his talents comes from his large commitment and concern for Holocaust remembrance and its importance to Israeli society today.

Ophir helped to open doors to government offices, as well as important directors in public institutions. He led the museum's Board of Directors with dedication and made sure that everything was conducted lawfully, appropriately and within the museum's budget.

Ophir was a major contributor in bringing a large exhibition from Holland that deals with the 18,000 Dutch Jewish children that perished during the Holocaust. The exhibition will open next year.

We would like to thank you, Ophir, for your assistance and we see consider you a true friend of the museum in the future as well. We wish you much success in future endeavors, both personally and professionally.
